From more than 190 years of experience of IRLE GROUP with calander rolls we very exactly know the wear behaviour and the opportunities for repairs and optimization:

Calander rolls are due to their material performance and earlier production- and machining methods not up to today's standard requirements as a their shape stability is concerned.

Older flow through systems are less efficient than those of today, an alteration fort he purpose of modernisation is possible in many cases. After a longer operation period it is advisable to consider a cleaning of the peripheral bore system. Only with an optimal flow through is the transfer of the required heating capacity ensured. Older calanders can be considerably improved by modifying the calander rolls. We are in the position to optimise the capacity and productivity of existing installations by modernising the rolls.

The following procedures help you to operate your installation more productively:

• heat treatment of the roll under simulation of operating conditions
• dynamic balancing (cold and hot)
• roll repairs and - alterations
• cleaning of the peripheral bore system of the roll
• altering a peripherally bored roll into S-Technology (DuoTherm 200 S^®)
• exchange of seals
